We plan on adding a functional PvP arena, instance-style dungeons with end rewards, more items to the shop, donation and voting rewards, and much more. Here is an example of what your helix.yml should look like: database: adapter: 'mysqloo' hostname: '' username: 'myusername' password: 'mypassword' database. chmod 755 p4d Configure the OS environment for a Perforce user. Give the OS user execution permission for the p4d file. Copy the p4d file in your newly-created directory. Select your family, and platform, then click Download. cd newinstall Navigate to the Helix Core (P4D) downloads page. Next is to change the other entries to match your database's connection information. Navigate to your newly-created directory.
To get started, double-click on the helix versioning engine and progress through the setup screens. The first thing you'll need to change is the adapter entry so that it says mysqloo.
CREATE A PERSONAL HELIX SERVER INSTALL
Now we’re going to install both the server and the client. Navigate back to the downloads page to download the Helix Visual Client (P4V). We have mob arena (at the moment it only rewards Hunter, but we plan to add rewards for all classes to it), we don't have factions (but will get a plugin very similar to it), and we don't allow griefing (we don't want our players to have to build giant obsidian boxes as homes to survive). Select your Family and Platform, then Download. Each class has five ranks to achieve, each rewarding the player with things such as an increase in money earning, kits, and more to come. The three classes, or jobs, are: Hunter, Miner, and Farmer. The main premise of this server is survival with jobs. If you join now that just means you'll have a head start on all the other players that join when we're out of beta. However, don't let that deter you from joining right now. There are a still a few things we're adding, and there's always balance changes to be made. Helix is currently in beta, meaning it isn't quite finished yet. We plan to add A LOT more as the server progresses. No factions, no griefing (this also means you don't have to build a giant obsidian home to survive). We have Mob Arena, PvP Arena (coming soon), and survival with jobs.
